Yes, your minder should be paid. She was available to work and should not have to suffer financially because you took some time off.

Did you get paid when you were out of work sick, im sure you would expect to get paid be it from your emloyer or whatever you are entitled through your P.R.S.I. Do you not think that your child minder it entitled to the same respect ??

Hi, I childmind two children a couple of days a week, similar to yourself. If the parents cancel on me at short notice they pay me, we never agreed this but they insist as they are the ones cancelling. Hope this helps.

yes, its only fair. she works for you, and if your boss cancelled you work you would expect to be paid,i had child care for 15 years and paid 52 weeks a year, a good childminder is worth their weight in gold.

i took 2 weeks of work sick, my minder works 2 days a week for me, i told her the day before she was due to the house not to come, do i need to pay her to be off, i dont think she was to impressed being cancelled, i didnt tell her that i was taking 2 weeks of i just told her the next week the day before again, does anyone know if ill have to pay her or not
