After school and weekend hours needed leaving the right candidate freedom in the mornings – approx 20 hour week. Hours no later than 2pm Mon - Sat and through summer holidays for continuity.
Extensive experience is required developing programmes, adapting curriculum and delivering to nonverbal children with intellectual disabilities. Some appreciation of floor time, ABA, SLT and OT exercises would be of benefit – energy and ability to have fun while teaching is essential. Working closely with school and friendly family with focus on lifeskills and functional communication as priority. Ideally a long term position with minimum 1 year contract. Suitable for someone with wanting to work in special education longer term and wanting time out form regular classroom. Location South Dublin.
