I have just recently qualified with a BSc (Hons) Speech and Language Therapy from University College Cork. I have much experience of working with children with intellectual disabilities (including ASD) from my university placements. I have completed voluntary work with Irish charity SERVE in Bangalore, India the Summer of 2011 and this Summer in the Association of People with disabilities. I was working with children with various disabilities, helping with the children´s social skills, building their communication skills and helping with their play. I also worked with parents and teachers to build their knowledge around disability. I also currently work with 2 young girls with Down Syndrome, working on their communication.
