I´m due my second child soon and am not returning to my job in a crèche. I am hoping to set up my own childminding business from my home. I already have an 9 year old and have FETAC Level 6 in childcare. I already have one interested family, I just don´t know what rate to charge them. I hope to provide whatever meals the children require and the families provide formula and nappies. I have looked into what other childminders in the area charge and this is between 20-30 a day, or else €4 an hour.
