The following is an update on the water situation as outlined at the Councillors meeting held last evening which I attended on behalf of the local residents.

At the meeting I outlined the concerns of local residents in the Killester area and I received the following information:
-
The City Problem could last for another 6/8 weeks
-
The City Council acknowledges that homes in Dublin North Central and North East have been worst affected and will be mindfull of this when restricting water supply and water pressure over the coming days and weeks.
-
There appears to be a problem with a burst main in Killester which is adding to the difficulties
-
The City Council are repairing 10-12 mains per day.
-
Dublin City Council have prioritised the problems experienced by St Brigid´s GNS and have made direct contact with the school.
-
The long term problems of poor water pressure will be addressed when the current difficulty is over.
