I am possibly moving my family to Ireland for a temporary work assignment in the Leixlip area. I´ve got two school-age kids (ages 7 and 6). I am curious what grade they would be in, in your school system?

My 7-yr old turns 8 this coming March and my 6-yr old just turned 6 this past September (on the 9th). Also, I´m curious if the site (or somewhere) has a tool that tells what school a child would attend based on a chosen address... Do you know if that exists? Or is it an open enrollment situation where kids can go wherever, regardless of address...? Thanks so much for your help.

If you put your 7 year old into 2nd class they would be one of the youngest and it´s also Holy Communion year so they would be a little lost I think. You can chose any school regardless of address and it´s just a matter of if they have space in both classes.
