Hi,
We are new to the area (after living ovrerseas for a decade) and our daughter starts primary next year. As I haven´t a clue about schools in Bray and I assume schooling has changed since I attended and any advice would be welcome. I´m quite interested in the Gaelscoils, especially Gaelscoil Ui Cheadaigh as at their open evening the principle, teachers and parents who already have kids attending the school impressed me. There seems to be a warm, nurturing environment. Other schools I am.interested in are st patricks, educate together and gaelscoil chualann.

Thanks in advance

Hi
I would see where your daughter can get a place as a lot of people will have put their child´s name down well in advance. The Irish schools Gaelscoil Uí Chéadaigh has a good reputation and I know some very nice children who go there. I think Scoil Cualann is good too. My boys are in St Andrew´s which is an excellent school but again hard to get a place. I think applications are closed for 2018. St Patrick´s is a big school, your daughter could probably get a place there if you are in the catchment area. Bear in mind it´s mixed only in Junior an Senior infants. From 1st class, it´s girls only and the boys go to St Cronan´s.
